I am Maria Karamoutsiou (no pronouns/they), performer, mover, music artist and educator. In my works as director or performer
I explore themes such as identity, belonging and gender.
I focus on the relationship between body and (public) space, as well as the question of representation and suppression of the human body.
My performative experiments include sound, voice, movement and use methods of biographical and devised theater as well as research. I often collaborate with people who see themselves as part of a community, so we can negotiate socio-political issues in a
personal way.
